Victoria International Airport Once Again Recognized With Prestigious Customer Service Award

Victoria International Airport’s (YYJ) commitment to providing excellent customer service has earned it the prestigious Airports Council International (ACI) Award for Airport Service Quality (ASQ) in 2014. Victoria International Airport ranked first overall for airports in North America carrying up to 2 million passengers a year.

“The Airports Council International Airport Service Quality Award is the highest possible distinction in the industry and we are honoured to be recognized”, said Geoff Dickson, President and CEO of the Victoria Airport Authority.

ASQ Awards were presented in categories that included Best Airport by Region, Best Airport by Size and Best Improvement.

This is Victoria’s second win after earning the honour in 2012. Since its creation in 2006, the ASQ Awards have become the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction benchmark with over 260 airports participating. The ASQ Awards recognize and reward the best airports in the world based on the ACI’s passenger satisfaction surveys.

“The ASQ customer satisfaction benchmarking program measures more than 30 aspects of customer service including airport ambience, efficiency and courtesy of staff, security screening processes, overall cleanliness, and value for money in food and beverage and retail outlets. Without the efforts of our airport community – security officers, airline partners, restaurant and retail staff, car rental companies, cleaners, volunteers and so many others, this award would not have been possible”, said Dickson.

Victoria International Airport will be officially recognized for this significant achievement at the ASQ Awards Ceremony being held during the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly in April.
