Effective July 2, 2026, daily parking rates in Long Term 1 will increase to $20.00 (currently $18.00). Long Term 2 will maintain its current rate of $18.00 per day, with a reduced rate of $9.00 per day after Day 5 for longer stays.

PARKING FAQS

What is changing?

Effective July 2, 2026, the rate for Long Term 1 will change to:

$1 per 30 minutes
$20 daily maximum
No long-stay discount

This change applies to Long Term 1 only.

Is Long Term 2 changing?

No. Long Term 2 is not changing.

Long Term 2 will remain:

$1 per 30 minutes
$18 daily maximum for each of the first 5 days
$9 daily maximum for each additional day after day 5

Long Term 2 is the lower-cost long-term parking option.

What if I parked in Long Term 1 before the rate change?

Vehicles that entered Long Term 1 before July 2, 2026 will be charged under the previous rate structure for that parking stay.

The new Long Term 1 rate applies to vehicles entering Long Term 1 on or after July 2, 2026.

Which lot should I choose?

Long Term 1 is closer to the terminal and is approximately a 5-7 minute walk.

Long Term 2 is approximately an 8-13 minute walk and remains the lower-cost option for longer stays.

Passengers looking for the lowest long-term rate should use Long Term 2, subject to availability.

Can I still access Long Term 2 if I enter through Long Term 1?

Yes. If you enter the Long Term 1 area and decide you would prefer to park in Long Term 2, please take a ticket and continue driving through following the signs to Long Term 2.

Is accessible parking affected by the Long Term 1 rate change?

Accessible parking stalls remain available in Long Term 1, subject to availability.

Passengers displaying a valid BC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities may receive the Long Term 2 rate while parking in an accessible stall in Long Term 1.

To receive the adjusted rate:

  1. Take a ticket when entering Long Term 1.
  2. Park in an available accessible stall.
  3. Display your valid BC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities.
  4. When exiting, use the cashier lane and let the cashier know you parked in an accessible stall.

The Long Term 2 rate is $18 per day for each of the first 5 days, then $9 per day after day 5.

Overflow Parking

Additional parking takes effect when Long Term 1 and Long Term 2 are at capacity. Upon arrival at the airport, please follow the directional signage or instructions of the parking attendants who will direct you to additional overflow parking locations. In some cases, you may be asked to pre-pay for your parking.

EV Parking

There are six dedicated Level 2 charging locations in Long Term 1, sixteen Level 2 chargers in Long Term 2, and two in the Short Term parking lot.

The use of the charging stations is included in the cost of parking, no additional fee will be charged for electricity.

Can I buy a monthly parking pass?

Monthly parking is available for $200.00/month + GST (minimum two consecutive months). Please call 250-953-5807 for more information.

Monthly parking is not available for commercial operators, including businesses offering car-sharing services or local sightseeing tours.
