Holiday Travel Tips

At Victoria International Airport (YYJ), the health and safety of our passengers, partners, visitors and employees is our top priority. That’s why we launched the TravelSafe YYJ Program. It’s our commitment to you that we’re doing our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure that your travel experience is as safe as possible.

At YYJ, we are ready to welcome back passengers as British Columbia and Canada ease travel restrictions and re-open travel safely.

Effective October 1st, all border measures will be lifted for travel to Canada.  Travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer be required to:

  • Provide proof of vaccination
  • undergo pre-departure or on-arrival COVID testing
  • undergo COVID-related quarantine or isolation
  • monitor or report any COVID-19 symptoms upon entry
  • submit public health info to ArriveCAN
  • wear a mask on planes
  • undergo health checks before boarding flights

Travellers are however, strongly recommended to wear high quality and well fitted masks during their journeys.

We remain committed to the health and safety of our passengers, business partners and employees and will continue to update our website with new developments or changes to operations.
