Planned full-scale security exercise at YYJ today

Passengers, visitors and members of the community may notice increased emergency response activity at and around the airport throughout the day. This may include emergency vehicles, first responders and volunteers participating in realistic exercise scenarios.

This is a planned exercise. Airport operations are not affected.

Full-scale exercises are an important part of YYJ’s emergency preparedness, allowing airport teams and our partners to test response plans, practise coordination and strengthen our collective readiness for a real emergency.
