Airport Operations
Are you looking for a role that allows you to be in the heart of the action? The Operations team is responsible for ensuring daily airport operations run smoothly. They perform critical roles in managing and maintaining safe, secure, efficient and reliable terminal operations and airside services, including runway, taxiway and grounds maintenance.
Operations roles include Airport Maintenance Specialists, Airport Fire Fighters, Electricians, Mechanics and Managers, Integrated Operations Centre.
Finance & Administration
The Finance team supports VAA operations by ensuring financial prudence and planning through accounting, analysis and strategy. The Administration team provides support across all departments and provides exceptional customer service from greeting guests at the front desk to responding to customer inquiries.
Roles include Financial Analysts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Lease and Contracts Administration and Administrative Assistants.
Infrastructure & Engineering
Our Infrastructure and Engineering team is responsible for planning and executing multi-million dollar capital improvement projects in alignment with VAA’s Master plan and supporting growth and development of the airport terminal and surrounding airport infrastructure (roads, runways, taxiways, etc.).
Roles may include Engineering Project Managers, Project Coordinators and GIS Specialists.
Technology & Facilities
The Technology team is focused on progressing all things ‘tech’ and is responsible for ensuring that all technological touch points, tools and systems are as effective as they can be. The Facilities team ensures all building systems (baggage, HVAC, etc.) and facilities are developed and maintained in tip top shape.
Roles on this team may include IT, Network and Systems Administrators, IT Support Specialists and Facilities Specialists.
Environment & Sustainability
This progressive team leads VAA’s environmental initiatives and ensures VAA’s ambitious Sustainability Plan is executed. Constantly seeking ways to improve and innovate, they are also the internal champion for VAA’s “green” team, The Carbon Neutrals.
Roles on this team may include Environmental Officers and Environmental Technicians.
Business Development
This team is responsible for revenue generation through commercial and land development, including parking and ground transportation. They work in partnership to develop unique airport terminal retail and concession offerings and commercial development opportunities on airport property.

Communications and Passenger Experience
The Communications and Passenger Experience team is responsible for delivering all communications, community relations, marketing, and passenger facing programs at YYJ (Red Coat Volunteers, Accessibility, etc.). Their role is to ensure passengers travelling through YYJ have an exceptional experience.
