Victoria International Airport (YYJ) Recognized as Most Efficient Airport With Under 5 Million Passengers in North America
Victoria International Airport (YYJ) has been chosen as the most efficient airport in the under 5 million passengers category in the 2020 Global Airport Performance Benchmarking Report.
The Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University announced the winners for the 2020 ATRS Global Airport Efficiency Awards at the ATRS virtual conference and general assembly held in early July.
The ATRS is a worldwide research network headquartered in the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland (USA). The annual ATRS benchmark is compiled, organized and hosted at Embry- Riddle’s David B. O’Maley College of Business in Dayton Beach, Florida (USA). A highly regarded educational institution specializing in aviation business. The Airport Performance Benchmarking Report provides a comparison of airport performance worldwide and focuses on productivity and operating/management efficiency, unit cost competitiveness and comparison of airport charges.

The 2020 report includes 204 airports and 24 airport groups of various sizes and ownership forms in the Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. YYJ joins other top North American performers Vancouver International Airport, Salt Lake City International Airport and Nashville International Airport.
