Kenmore Air service begins between Victoria International Airport (YYJ) and Friday Harbor (FRH) with connections to Boeing Field and Paine Field

For release May 25, 2023

Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) welcomed Kenmore Air’s inaugural flight with service between Friday Harbor, WA and Victoria International Airport (YYJ).  The new flights operate utilizing a nine (9) passenger Cessna 208 Caravan.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest airline, Kenmore Air to Victoria. This complementary expansion to their seaplane service between Victoria’s Inner Harbour and Lake Union, WA which began in the 1980’s provides additional opportunity for travellers on both sides of the border to visit each other’s respective backyards. Travellers can connect on to Seattle/Boeing Field and take a shuttle to SEATAC or connect to Paine Field.  Just like our capital city and Southern Gulf Islands, the San Juan Islands are also jewels to explore,” said Rod Hunchak, VAA Director, Business Development and Community Relations.

With this expansion, Kenmore Air now provides the only scheduled international transportation link between Friday Harbor and Victoria International Airport, offering two round trips per day, making it the fastest, most scenic, and most convenient connection to both Victoria’s Inner Harbor and Victoria International Airport.

“We are thrilled to take another step in expanding transportation connectivity to the San Juans, offering one-stop service to seven Alaska Airlines west coast destinations through Everett’s Paine Field and daily service to Victoria in addition to our historic schedule seaplane and landplane service,” said David Gudgel, Kenmore Air President.
