Now and in the Future
While TravelSafe YYJ has been developed to address the immediate need for ensuring the health and safety of our passengers and airport employees, we’re also looking ahead. We know that expectations regarding airport cleaning regimes and integrating touchless technologies and processes won’t disappear once the pandemic is under control and air travel returns to a more normal state. We will continue to evaluate new processes and technologies as they become available and continue to enhance safety.
We’re working with our partners, aviation industry experts and suppliers to plan for the future of air travel. Some of the exciting changes and enhancements to YYJ in the near future may include:
- Touchless passenger processing equipment and technology.
- Self-service baggage drop in the departures check-in area to minimize contact with airline staff and expedite the check-in process.
- Ultra-violet technology for inbound and outbound baggage.
- Revised food menus to introduce more pre-packaged meal options and offering order-at-your-gate technology.
