Bounded by coastal marine environments, fish bearing streams and towering Douglas fir trees, the unique setting of the Victoria International Airport is a daily reminder of the ecosystems and communities we share this space with. We have a lot to be grateful for.
Our environmental monitoring programs and ecological restoration work expands each year as we continue to learn about our surrounding environments and from our community partners. As our airport facilities expand to serve the South Island region, we aim to minimize environmental impacts, seek creative solutions for sustainable developments and build resiliency for the future in our infrastructure. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are embedded within our practices as we set ambitious targets aligned with our values and guiding principles, and as we work towards becoming a future net-zero emission operation.
