{"id":4031,"date":"2022-02-08T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yyj.eclipsedev.tk\/?p=4031"},"modified":"2023-01-26T16:21:13","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T23:21:13","slug":"victoria-airport-authority-vaa-recognized-as-a-top-employer-in-bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yyj.ca\/en\/victoria-airport-authority-vaa-recognized-as-a-top-employer-in-bc\/","title":{"rendered":"Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) Recognized as a Top Employer in BC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) has been named as one of BC\u2019s Top 100 Employers for 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to receive this recognition for a third consecutive year,\u201d said Geoff Dickson, Victoria Airport Authority President and CEO.&nbsp; \u201cBeing recognized as one of BC\u2019s Top Employers is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment of the entire VAA team.&nbsp; \u201cWhen considering the incredible challenges we\u2019ve faced collectively over the past two years and continue to work through, in what we hope, is the final phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, this recognition is a highly valued achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/reviews.canadastop100.com\/top-employer-victoria-airport-authority?fbclid=IwAR0OjrmobVda8AalcVze6YV-9dVV7RlIhgfaiYZzPvIQmx2RrZSRK7gQOxQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reasons<\/a>, VAA was selected as one BC\u2019s Top Employers include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>VAA supports employees through various stages of life, from maternity and parental leave top-up for parents-to-be, to flexible work options to help balance personal and family commitments, to retirement planning assistance for those in the later stages of their career.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VAA encourages employees to put their health first with up to 15 paid sick days annually, and organizes Healthy Workplace initiatives each year, with a variety of activities to promote health behaviours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VAA supports a variety of charitable organizations each year and welcomes employee feedback on local and national initiatives to support &#8212; additionally, the organization generously matches charitable donations, to a maximum of $5,000 per year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its 17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;year, BC&#8217;s Top Employers is a special designation that recognizes the&nbsp;British Columbia&nbsp;employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Employers throughout&nbsp;British Columbia&nbsp;were evaluated by the editors at&nbsp;Canada&#8217;s&nbsp;Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere &amp; Social; (3) Health, Financial &amp; Family Benefits; (4) Vacation &amp; Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training &amp; Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
