1 – ILS Cable and Conduit Replacement<\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Electrical cabling for the Instrument Landing System is nearing the end of its service life and will be replaced.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Ensures dependable landing guidance, minimizes risk of service disruption, and maintains safe operations during poor weather.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Planning and design began in 2025, followed by construction in 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n

2 – Airfield Sign Replacement<\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> All airfield signage is being updated to comply with current Transport Canada standards.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Improves safety and clarity for aircraft operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Construction will take place in spring and summer 2026.<\/p>\n

3 – Lifecycle Replacement of Drainage Pipe – Cargo Building <\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Portions of the stormwater drainage system near the Cargo Building, some more than 70 years old, will be replaced to maintain reliable drainage.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Reduces flooding risk, improves water quality, and supports long-term system performance.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Construction is planned for spring and summer 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

4 – Lifecycle Replacement Airfield Drainage to Kelset Creek <\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Aging sections of the airfield stormwater drainage system will be replaced to maintain reliable drainage and protect downstream waterways.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Reduces flooding risk, improves water quality, and enhances the long-term resilience of airfield infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Construction is planned for spring and summer 2027.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n

5 – \u023eE\u1e48TEN (Tenten Creek) East Bank Restoration<\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Restoration of a 100-metre section of creek includes erosion control, habitat features like riffles and pools, and planting of native species.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Prevents erosion, enhances fish and wildlife habitat, and supports biodiversity.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> This project will be implemented in 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n

6 – Upper Holdroom Expansion <\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> The Upper Holdroom will be expanded to address passenger congestion and improve the overall travel experience. The project includes expanding into existing office space, adding new food and beverage and retail amenities, upgrading washrooms, and completing a seismic upgrade to the oldest section of the terminal.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Improves passenger comfort and circulation, increases washroom capacity, adds amenities, and strengthens the terminal building for long-term safety and reliability.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Construction will begin in 2026, with completion planned for 2027.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

7 – Runway 09-27 Edge Lights Replacement<\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Aging edge-lighting cabling and conduit will be replaced, along with new pull pits and stakes. A Runway Weather Information System will also be installed.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Provides more reliable runway lighting, reduces maintenance costs, and enhances runway condition reporting.<\/p>\n

Timing: <\/strong>Construction is planned for spring and summer 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n

8 – Flight Path Safety Improvements<\/h4>\n

Overview:<\/strong> Safety enhancements are being added to the pedestrian and cycling pathway around the airport.<\/p>\n

Benefits:<\/strong> Sections of the pathway will be repaired, new signage will guide users, and markings will separate cyclists and pedestrians, improving safety and accessibility.<\/p>\n

Timing:<\/strong> Implementation is scheduled for 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
